Message limit
Message limits determine the maximum number of business-initiated conversations (conversations opened as a result of sending a marketing template in our case) that a business phone number can open in a 24-hour period.
Business phone numbers are initially limited to 250 company-initiated conversations in a 24-hour period, but this limit can be increased.
How to increase the daily message limits?
Message limits can be increased to the following extent:
1,000 company-initiated conversations
10,000 company-initiated conversations
100,000 company-initiated conversations
Unlimited number of company-initiated conversations
You can increase the message limit to 1,000 messages on your own by using the methods described below.
Please note that in order for your business phone number to qualify for an increase, it must have connected status and that if your business phone number has a low quality rating, the limit of 250 conversations initiated by the business may remain in place until the quality rating improves.
Business verification:
Request verification of your business. If your business is approved, Meta will analyze the quality of your messages to determine if your activity justifies an increase in your message limit. Based on this analysis, the message limit increase will be approved or denied. The “Getting Started” section of this documentation describes in detail how to initiate verification of your business.
Open 1,000 conversations in 30 days:
Open 1,000 or more company-initiated conversations in a 30-day period using templates with a high quality rating. Once you reach this threshold, Meta will analyze the quality of your messages to determine if your activity warrants an increase in the message limit. Based on this analysis, the increase will be approved or denied.
Send high quality messages:
If verification of your business or identity is declined, make sure that the messages you send are of high quality. Meta will periodically re-evaluate the activity and quality of your messages and, based on this analysis, may approve an increase.
Automatic magnification:
Once you have reached the limit of 1,000 company-initiated conversations, each time you open a company-initiated conversation, Meta will determine whether your limit should be increased based on the following criteria:
Your business phone number has the status connected
The quality rating of the business phone number is Medium or High
In the last 7 days, your business phone number was used to initiate X or more conversations, where X is the current message limit of the business phone number divided by 2.
If your business phone number meets all conditions, the limit will be increased by one level after 24 hours. However, if the quality rating received a Marked status within the last 7 days, the limit will be decreased by one level immediately.
